“We had just had a baby and needed to expand the number of bedrooms in our mid-terraced house in Wandsworth. We had asked around the local area for reputable builders which can be a challenge in London. We kept being told about Armadillo so we reached out to Pierre. He came round within a day or so and told us he had done a number of loft conversions in the area and he was happy to put me in touch with a few references, one of which happened to be my next door neighbour! We did get quotes from a few other suppliers with Armadillo coming in around mid-price and after overwhelmingly positive feedback about their work and approach, we chose them to convert our loft. We are delighted to have chosen Armadillo; they finished the works bang on budget and completed it two weeks earlier than predicted. Friends came around for dinner and looked at the work mid-progress, one of them said “it looks great, but there’s one weird thing here, there’s no mess anywhere and the tools are all neatly stacked in the corner, that’s unusual”. Having used several different builders over 25+ years of living in London, I can easily say there is absolutely no comparison with Armadillo and any other firm out there. Pierre knows his stuff and the quality of workmanship, professionalism and tidiness was way beyond our expectations. I could not recommend Armadillo enough.”

“I have known of the work of Pierre and Armadillo for the past 20 years so already knew of the high standard of workmanship and attention to detail we could expect. In 2019 we contracted Armadillo to build a large loft conversion with dormer on two aspects and also a secondary project with the conversion of an integral garage into an office space and new W/C. The loft consisted of a large bedroom area of approximately 6.5m x 6.5m with en-suite shower room, and our specific requirements that the staircase be built to match the style and feel of the existing staircase on ground to first floors. The rear of the bedroom contained a large full height sliding door and glass balustrade. Pierre handled all of the project management, organised the enabling works and first fix materials while we supplied the second fix materials and he organised the second fix trades and programming. We saw him on site every day unless he had made a prior arrangement with us and kept us fully informed of progress throughout. All of the works were completed in good time with the minimal disruption as we were living on site. The team were well organised, and kept the site clean and tidy. Given the opportunity I would not hesitate to use Armadillo for future projects”.
